BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
The Management Services Division is responsible for global Asset and Facility Management. Fleet, Environmental Sustainability and Occupational Safety and Health and much more
We are seeking a consultant to support the communication efforts of the global function and
contribute to the development of creative communications as well as the social media stream of work. This includes animation development graphic design and proposing social media strategy (IE writing, editing, and posting content across platforms and managing the editorial calendar).
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Reporting to MSD head of communications on the below areas:
o Lead the development and implementation of the visual and multimedia side of MSD communication strategy and thematic communication campaigns in line with WFP corporate standards & help promote a divisional awareness of such.
o Collaborate with the MSD communications team to ensure and advise on how we can maintain a cohesive visual language and identity for all critical MSD communication materials and assets.
o Lead the graphic conceptualization and development of impactful and communicative multimedia assets (videos, infographics, publications & presentations)
o Support the development, in collaboration with corporate social media team, of a MSD social media strategy and plan
■ Responsive to divisional needs and aligned with corporate standards and strategies.
■ Collaborating with MSD teams for content development.
■ Provide recommendation on social media strategy in line with WFP's Management Services Division, matching the intended tone and voice, setting goals to increase awareness and engagement
o Support with the development of a "How to communicate" tool-kit and package for global roll-out
o Other activities upon request
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education:
• Bachelor or master's in marketing, communications, graphic design, economics, or other social media related field
Experience:
• At least 3-years relevant experience
• Extensive professional experience with Adobe suite and animation software.
• Data analysis skills and statistical prowess to draw actionable insights
• Familiarity in working with social media platforms and an understanding of what behavior drives different social media channels
• Experience in social media marketing and/or PR with a proven ability to meet or exceed KPI targets
• Day-to-day Social Media activity such as customer engagement, following important current events, etc.
Knowledge
• Proven ability to manage time and priorities effectively
& Skills:
• Familiarity of the use of a range of Adobe suite, graphic design programmes, animation software and social media platforms, particularly in relation to advertising/branding, the mechanics that drives distribution of content
• Great communication skills and ability to work close with other people, both internally and externally
• Creative skills for contributing new and innovative ideas
• Keenness to details, analytical skills with an ability to shift to a big picture thinking when needed
Languages:
• Written, spoken, and oral comprehension in English is essential.
• Intermediate (or better) knowledge of another WFP official language (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, Spanish, or WFP's working language, Portuguese) is a strong asset
