The Dexia Group, a former banking group under orderly resolution since 2012, with main establishments in Brussels and Paris and branches in Ireland, the United States, and Rome, is seeking a junior legal specialist for its Rome branch. The role involves managing transactions and relationships with Italian public-sector institutions, including related disputes. This position based in Rome is for a one-year contract, with the possibility of a permanent contract depending on available opportunities within the entity. Compensation will be based on the candidate's relevant experience. The junior legal specialist will: Support the local legal counsel in managing complex disputes involving Italian and UK judicial authorities related to financing and swap transactions with Italian public-sector institutions. Manage relationships with external lawyers. Assess the legal impacts of the branch’s activities. Additional responsibilities include: Providing internal reports on dispute statuses. Preparing documentation for branch decision-making bodies and central authorities. Ensuring all legal acts related to the branch’s activities are accurate and compliant with laws and regulations. Required qualifications: Final Italian Law Degree from a reputable university; passing the bar examination is preferred. Two to three years of professional experience, ideally in a law practice or multinational company in Italian Law. Strong knowledge of Italian administrative, civil, and procedural law. Excellent Italian speaking and writing skills; advanced English proficiency; knowledge of French is a plus. Proficiency with common software suites.
