As an Account Manager, you will play a key role in expanding and maintaining customer relationships within the dynamic Italian market. You will work with an impressive portfolio of no less than 5,000 Asian food products, including leading brands like Flying Goose and YumYum. With your commercial drive, you will independently build long-lasting relationships and actively grow our customer base. You’ll generate revenue through strong relationship management and by attracting new clients (new business). You will also serve as the go-to expert for advice on both existing and new products, and you have a sharp eye for identifying and seizing market opportunities. The sales channel you’ll work in is highly diverse: from local Asian supermarkets to large wholesalers. This makes your job varied and dynamic. No two clients are the same, every day brings new opportunities – and you are in the driver’s seat. In this role, you will be responsible for managing multi-million euro revenues. Your responsibilities: Relationship management: Proactively manage and grow existing client relationships within our ethnic sales channel. Identifying opportunities: Spot new sales opportunities and expand the customer base. Advising: Advise customers on our product range and provide tailored solutions. Market research: Monitor market trends and translate customer needs into commercial opportunities. Internal collaboration: Work closely with internal departments like marketing and purchasing to efficiently handle customer inquiries. Negotiation: Negotiate prices, contracts, and promotional activities. Presentations: Deliver product presentations to inform and excite customers. Planning & administration: Manage your schedule and admin tasks independently. Reporting: Report to the Sales Manager and contribute to the overall sales strategy. What you bring: To succeed in this role, an affinity with Asian culture is important. You have a proactive and independent mindset, capable of recognizing and acting on opportunities. You are commercially driven with a competitive spirit. We also require: Experience in a similar position, preferably in the food sector. Willingness to travel regularly within Italy for work. Fluency in Italian and English. Knowledge of an Asian language is a plus. The role is fully remote, as you are based in Italy and our headquarters is in the Netherlands.
