In this role you will support local import/export operations and you will help in supervising the performance of customs brokers. Moreover, you will support in ensuring smooth execution of operational trade and custom activities within a local unit, including relevant documentation and compliance with regulations. Your responsibilities: - As Junior Import/export Support Specialist you will be a support for these activities: - Monitors daily import/export shipments and ensures smooth customs clearance via the appointed customs brokers. - Acts as point of contact for customs brokers in case of clarification needs (e.g., regarding valuation or classification of products). - Understands and applies relevant customs procedures and ensures the relevant declarations are correctly made. - Audits customs brokers regarding the correctness of customs entries, invoicing, and archiving. - Ensures all customs-related records are maintained and archived correctly. - Provides reporting as required on day-to-day activities. - Manages the necessary documentation and online forms for the efficient, cost-effective, and lawful execution of all import/export activities. - Maintains and shares with colleagues, as appropriate, personal knowledge of all relevant import/export laws and procedures, tariffs, duties, licenses, and restrictions in close cooperation with local and country Trade Compliance Officers. - Communicates with export - and import-related - authorities and suppliers, as necessary, to ensure efficient execution. - Facilitates continuous review and improvement in the operational transport and trade/customs activities. - Supervises customs broker’s daily performance and cost, taking action to ensure compliance with associated Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). - Supports the development and implementation of improved processes and systems and maintains master data. Your background: - Diploma in economics, business administration, foreign trade, logistics. - You have some of these skills (or if you have the predisposition to some of these skills): data Analysis & Reporting, customer satisfaction, logistics, you like to build a business relationship with suppliers, passion for what you have to do. - A good knowledge of English language. - Italian language is mandatory.
