Position: Warehouse Manager (m/f/d)
Reporting to the Manufacturing Director, this role manages all processes within the warehousing area, focusing on Goods Receipt and intermediate Production Warehouses, with a strong oversight of internal logistics flows to serve various production departments. The Warehouse Manager directly supervises 3 managers and oversees over 80 staff during peak production times.
In addition to operational logistics management, the Warehouse Manager is responsible for a strategic project aimed at implementing Industry 4.0 concepts in logistics, supporting significant investments to build a digital-physical infrastructure for automation and digitalization, achieving substantial cost savings targets.
Main Responsibilities
Organize inbound, storage, and material movement flows to optimize intra-logistics processes and ensure constant supply to production lines.
Monitor logistics KPIs to assess operational effectiveness, analyze inefficiencies, and implement continuous improvement plans.
Lead the strategic logistics innovation project, coordinating internal teams and external suppliers, ensuring project investments and timelines are met.
Manage the 3 area managers and supervise operational staff involved in material handling and finished goods movement.
Oversee staffing activities during peak periods and optimize onboarding/offboarding processes.
Supervise goods entry, waste management, inventory activities, and reconcile physical and accounting discrepancies; manage returns, shipments, and transportation.
Create new KPIs for intralogistics performance monitoring.
Manage software tools such as SAP, Logiware, Easyare, Login, MES, Power BI.
Skills and Competencies
Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent university education.
Previous experience in managerial roles within complex, automated manufacturing environments, particularly in logistics or warehousing.
Strong process analysis skills and experience in digital transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ability to operate within a complex multinational context.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize/manage urgencies.
Leadership qualities, strong interpersonal skills, and team management experience.
Good knowledge of ERP systems and logistics tools (WMS), with SAP knowledge considered a plus.
Proficiency in English.
