Job Description:
NEXTCHEM, a company of the MAIRE group dedicated to Sustainable Technology Solutions, is seeking a dynamic and innovative E&I/Automation/DCS Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper functioning and reliability of electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems through routine maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and optimization activities.
The candidate will become part of NEXTCHEM’s Excellence Center in Montorio al Vomano (TE), working on the first-of-its-kind industrial plant for plastic depolymerization, utilizing a novel technology to support energy transition.
The E&I/Automation/DCS Technician is responsible for:
* Performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical, instrumentation, and automation equipment following guidelines.
* Calibrating instruments to ensure measurement accuracy.
* Identifying and resolving failures in electrical and automation systems.
* Maintaining the maintenance action list and spare parts inventory.
* Executing electrical adjustments and supervising optimization activities.
* Drafting instrumentation setting procedures and sharing them with the Plant Manager.
* Overseeing instrumentation checks to ensure system integrity.
* Assisting in analysis and troubleshooting via the DCS interface.
* Analyzing DCS data and trends to resolve process or equipment issues.
* Teaching best practices for electrical and automation procedures to production teams.
Personal Attributes:
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical subjects.
* 3-6 years of experience in E&I/Automation/DCS is a plus.
* Good command of English, both spoken and written.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Adaptability, entrepreneurial spirit, and methodical working approach.
* Ability to work under pressure with continually re-evaluated priorities.
