Role Description
This is a part-time adjunct Biology Instructor position at the Catholic Institute of Technology. The role involves teaching during the period from January 12 to March 20, 2026. Each week, the instructor will be responsible for 6 hours of teaching (3 hours of lecture and 3 hours of recitation/problem‑solving), in addition to preparation outside of class. The instructor will also be conducting an ongoing research project in the greater Rome area and will welcome one student for the term to serve as a research assistant, learning the fundamentals of experimental biology.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in Biology
* Experience in teaching college‑level courses
* Strong communication and presentation skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students
* Ph.D. in Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field (preferred)
Note: This position is in‑person on our campus in Castel Gandolfo. On‑campus housing is available for qualified visiting faculty members located outside of the Castel Gandolfo area.
Compensation
Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and will be competitive within academia.
