Under the supervision of the SVP – Marketing & Member Services (SVP M&MS), create engaging and creative content for the Credit Union’s digital and social media presence, keeping all channels updated and brand-focused. Seek out new digital and social media avenues and ways of connecting with audiences to accomplish overall credit union goals. Develop a plan/publishing schedule to maximize these channels to the benefit of the credit union’s goals. Assist with developing and updating other Credit Union marketing media and materials as directed by the SVP M&MS.
Major Duties And Responsibilities
* Create, schedule, publish and update relevant, original, high-quality, dynamic content for all social media channels such as Facebook, X/Twitter, and other digital platforms including marketing on our digital signs, website, online banking and app, etc. aligned with brand voice and campaign objectives.
* Monitor and respond to posts or inquiries through social media channels such as Facebook, X/Twitter, Google, etc. in a timely, professional manner; notify SVP Marketing & Member Services of any negative comments or posts.
* Create content - digital graphics, ads, flyers, and promotional materials using Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop) and Canva - that promote audience interaction, increase audience presence on credit union sites, and encourage positive audience response (both members and potential members) to the offerings of our products and services while supporting our image. Ensures material is clear, concise, relevant, accurate, and polished.
* Develop a library of articles, videos and white papers that connect to our audience.
* Capture and edit high-quality photography and short‑form video content for digital and print campaigns using a Canon DSLR camera and Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop) and Canva.
* Build and deploy targeted email and text campaigns that align with marketing goals and member initiatives.
* Assist with website content updates and ensure all materials follow SEO best practices.
* Maintain brand consistency across all digital and print platforms.
* Support digital ad campaigns using Google Ads and Facebook Ads Manager, including creative development, placement, and reporting.
* Track, interpret, and report on digital performance metrics from social media, email, and web analytics tools (including Google Analytics). Understand the concept of optimizing content following SEO and pay‑per‑click (PPC).
* Provide data‑driven insights and recommendations to the SVP of Marketing to improve engagement and ROI.
* Assist with planning, setup, and promotion for community events, such as golf tournaments, trade shows, and local expos.
* Provide support as required to assist with the Credit Union’s corporate sponsorship of DESK (Donate Educational Supplies for Kids).
* Capture event photos and social content, ensuring strong brand representation at all member‑facing activities.
* Stay current with evolving digital marketing trends, social algorithms, and creative tools.
* Explore and experiment with AI tools for content creation, design assistance, or analytics efficiency.
* Contribute fresh ideas to enhance brand storytelling and campaign effectiveness.
Education: Associate degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred, or 2+ years of experience in digital marketing, social media management, or creative content production.
Experience: One to two years of customer service experience. Previous marketing experience helpful. Additional education may be substituted for experience at the discretion of the President.
