We’re Hiring | Cluster Finance Controller
An exceptional career opportunity for a senior hospitality finance leader to join two ultra-luxury resort hotels in Sardinia in a cluster leadership role.
We are seeking a strategic, commercially minded Cluster Finance Controller to lead financial operations, controls, and business performance across two flagship luxury properties.
* Primary Responsibilities
Financial Control:
o overseeing all sales, purchasing, salaries and expenses
o Implementing and reviewing Financial policies
o Audit compliance including actioning recommendations and liaising with internal stakeholders
Financial Reporting:
o Production of monthly financial reporting GAAP
o Overseeing budgeting & forecasting process and long term planning
o Monthly and annual reporting
Financial Performance:
o Responsible for monitoring budgets and for reporting major deviations of over-expenditure, under-budgeting or non-compliance to the approved budget
o Business partner with two General Managers implementing controls, solutions, and action plans
o Assist the General Managers in establishing local policies, rules, internal controls and safeguards that ensure profitability and control of operations
o Advise and provide counsel to the General Managers, HODs and finance teams on all financial matters
* Treasury & Tax
o Treasury management, cash planning, reviewieng the cash position in order to optimize the use of funds and minimize the volume of cash being held in the business
o Review all changes of tax laws and accounting policies, assess their implications on the business and ensure the finance team implements appropriate changes
* Other
o Support the financial function of any opening of new products.
o Assist with the accounting related to any hotel or other asset sales, product closure and ownership changes
o Together with the General Managers, manage the relations with third party, owners and/or partners
o Facilitate the best communication and reporting between the Belmond regional office in Milan and the Cheval Blanc corporate offices in Paris
o Communicate relevant information to the Divisional Financial Controllers and the General Managers,
* Proven experience as Director of Finance / Financial Controller in luxury or ultra-luxury hotels or resorts
* Strong cluster / multi-property exposure preferred
* Solid leadership skills with commercial mindset and hands-on approach
* Fluent in English and Italian
* Permanent contract according to C.C.N.L. Settore Turismo (Confindustria)
