Mission description
The Senior Program Manager is the main focal point and interface between Safran Italy and the customers. The ideal candidate will have strong problem solving and leadership skills, strategic vision, determination and accountability together with the ability to work and lead cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
* Provide overall strategic and technical leadership in managing the programs with a focus on profitability, quality and on-time delivery throughout the program life cycle.
* Lead a team of Project and Program Managers.
* Manage the programs in the short term and create a vision for the programs in the medium / long term.
* Manage program contracts and risk management.
* Ensure on-time development of assigned programs, verify budget compliance and formulate offers for changes in the scope of work.
* Ensure effective and efficient communication with the customer, enhance relationships and provide timely, accurate answers.
* Maintain accurate reporting on program status to Site and Corporate using appropriate KPIs and measure customer satisfaction.
* Coordinate inter-functional activities to achieve business goals; be accountable for recovery planning.
* Coordinate the preparation of technical and commercial proposals with other departments.
* Support audit activities requested by customers.
* Travel : Availability for short / medium duration domestic and international travel is required.
Qualifications
* An engineering or management degree.
* A proven background as a Senior Program Manager in a multi-national, complex matrix organization.
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in product / industrial / engineering management, with at least 2-3 years managing complex, technical / manufacturing programs.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence and build relationships with a diverse customer group.
* Ability to translate complex data into clear communications; experience presenting to Senior Leaders and external customers.
* Proactivity, ownership mindset, and focus on delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience in negotiations and driving improvements; Continuous Improvement experience is desirable.
* Desirable : experience in materials and supply chain management; ability to operate in a multi-site environment; aerospace industry experience.
