Job Description Position Summary Teach with Purpose: Our teachers play a key role in bringing to life the academic and cultural visions of our schools. This includes daily lesson planning, intentional curriculum design, and regular data analysis to help all students learn and grow. Teachers also implement Social Emotional Learning lessons and Restorative Practices to create a joyful, inclusive classroom community. Support and Collaboration: Teachers work closely with the school’s Leadership Team, including their Instructional Coach, to ensure student growth. This involves weekly meetings and ongoing feedback to improve instructional practices. Commitment to Anti-Racism: We are dedicated to creating an anti-racist school community. Preferred Qualifications Experience: Experience teaching students with demographics similar to our community. Education: B.A / B.S degree from a regionally accredited institution. Hold a valid teaching credential in the desired subject or meet eligibility requirements for a Provisional Internship Permit or Short Term Staff Permit. Knowledge / Skills: Commitment to KIPP’s mission and anti-racist practices. Strong content knowledge and relationship-building skills. Effective communication with students, families, and colleagues. Proficient in Google Suite applications and capable of utilizing instructional technology. Essential Functions And Responsibilities Plan lessons aligned with KIPP’s academic vision.
