We are seeking Lightning Protection Technician’s to support operations on global projects. Reporting to the project manager & site supervisor the Lightning Protection Technician is responsible for the day-to-day planning, coordination and control of LPI projects. The purpose of the role is to install lightning protection and earthing systems on a variety of structures across all forms of private, public, industrial, commercial & Data Centre sectors. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our company's success.
What you'll do
* Install lightning protection and earthing systems on Data Centres and variety of tall structures. This will involve working to pre-designed schemes including drawings, a risk assessment and method statement.
* Undertake upgrades to existing lightning protection systems to specified instructions provided.
* Accurately complete Company paperwork including point of work risk assessment, job sheets, marked up drawings, material schedules and timesheets and ensure this is returned to the office-based team.
* Provide onsite communications and advice to either the client or managers of a project, ensuring the Company is professionally represented at all times.
* Maintain a strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standards at all times, ensuring all work is completed in a safe and compliant manner.
What you'll need
* Proven experience working within construction industry or in a similar environment
* Electrical experience is advantageous but not essential
* Experience working on commercial and industrial projects.
* Excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills.
* Good knowledge and commitment to health and safety standards and protocols and good knowledge EQHS Management System.
* Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages such as German Dutch, French, or Spanish would be advantageous but not required.
* Safe Pass
* Manual Handling training.
* Working At Height training.
* IPAF training.
