Purpose of the job: The Project Controller is in charge of the financial management and control of a project portfolio. At this level, he/she operates in full autonomy for large projects and may supervise a team of project controllers for portfolios of large and complex projects. Acts as the financial support and representative for the project manager, guaranteeing the financial transparency of the project. Key responsibilities Ensure project accounting is in accordance with Company guidelines Organise project reviews from start to end of each contract; manage controlling and financial reporting of projects in accordance with internal control rules Ensure the project financial situation reported in Sector Project Reviews is accurate and aligned with Alstom rules Support the project manager and other project functions as a finance partner Prepare, with the project team, the project review content and the periodic project financial presentation Understand project documents and systems and actively manage financial implications arising from them Produce all financial project reporting as requested (forecast cash flow, revenue gross margin, etc.) Ensure that all financial processes and internal controls, including DoA, are implemented, robust and compliant Establish onshore projects in conjunction with the local finance team Control and maintain full knowledge of all financial movements within the project scope; reconcile onshore or offshore project results within project accounts and with balance sheet positions related to the project Manage interfaces with other expert functions such as tax, treasury, insurance, and contract management Ensure total consistency of all internal and external claims in the project financials Assess risks and opportunities in the projects and support correct risk recognition, valuation, and reporting Provide management with reliable financial data to aid decision-making Ad-hoc reporting on projects, including special investigations of issues arising Coordinate with project teams (Planner, Sourcing, etc.) to ensure consistency Mandatory: Hold a bachelor's degree in a finance-related field (e.g., accounting, finance, business administration, economics) Qualifications 6/8 years of experience in controlling on large multinational construction projects (Senior PC) Project accounting and experience in controlling large multinational construction projects Experience in contract management Proficiency in Excel and preparing spreadsheet reports Analytical skills with ability to forecast Experience with ERPs Strong communication and coordination abilities Integrity, resilience.
