We are looking for
a Health and PE teacher
at the Canadian School of Florence who will be responsible for the planning, delivery and evaluation of the Ontario PE curriculum to our students from Elementary and Middle school. The candidate will ensure that the programs are relevant, engaging and fit for purpose, aiming for a lifelong love of physical activity

• Lead the successful delivery of PE and Physical Development for the primary and middle schoo

• Inspire and enthuse members of the team, with a clear vision for the future direction of the PE Departmen

• Work closely with the PE coordinator for Secondary to ensure a clear, through school curriculu
m;
• Develop an innovative and progressive curriculum in PE and Physical Developmen
t;
• Utilise the shared spaces creativel
y;
• Safeguard young people by ensuring that all aspects of Health and Safety are adhered to in lessons and preparation area
s;
• Lead the development of differentiated schemes of work at so that every young person makes progress in their learnin
g;
• Keep up to date about subject development and to take part in relevant CPD for this purpose, disseminating to other staff where appropriat
e;
• Provide regular reports on student performance based on internal assessment data and to plan effective interventions as appropriat
