THE MISSION?
Welcome to Mama Shelter, where the numbers are as essential as the vibes! As our Director of Finance, you’ll be at the heart of the action, orchestrating all the financial matters behind the scenes. ✨
Here’s what you’ll be responsible for:
Financial Oversight
* Ensure strong financial management within a robust control environment.
* Oversee accurate accounting records, statutory accounts, and financial reporting for the hotel.
* Lead all areas related to balance sheets, P&L, cash management, and capital.
Business Partnering
* Manage the finance relationship with Operations, Head Office, and the Owner.
* Support the General Manager in strategic planning and value creation.
Reporting & Analysis
* Deliver clear and accurate reporting, including KPIs and benchmarking.
Budgeting & Forecasting
* Lead the hotel’s budgeting, planning, and forecasting processes.
* Ensure financial plans align with strategic objectives.
Team Leadership
* Lead, develop, and motivate a high‑performing Finance Team.
Qualifications

* You’re a people person with the ability to collaborate across departments while keeping everything running like clockwork.
* You respect confidentiality – what happens at Mama, stays at Mama! ️♂️
* You pay attention to detail: you catch every error, every penny, and every decimal point.
* You live, breathe, and dream in Excel – it’s your daily tool for reporting and calculations. You’ve mastered every formula.
YOUR LITTLE EXTRAS :
* You’ve been part of a hotel opening before and know what it takes to make the numbers work in the early stages of launching a new property.
* You’re familiar with Opera and Sun Systems software.
* You’re as fun as you are meticulous – balance is key! ⚖️
