NEXTCHEM, a company of the MAIRE group dedicated to Sustainable Technology Solutions, is seeking a dynamic and innovative E&I/Automation/DCS Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper functioning and reliability of electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems through routine maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and optimization activities.
The candidate will become part of NEXTCHEM’s Excellence Center in Montorio al Vomano (TE), having the opportunity to work on the first-of-its-kind industrial plant for the depolymerization of plastics, operating on a novel technology to fully enable the energy transition.
The E&I/Automation/DCS Technician is responsible for:
* Performs straightforward maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical, instrumentation, and automation equipment, following the guidelines of the Responsible.
* Calibrates instruments to ensure accurate measurements and readings.
* Identifies and resolves failure modes in electrical and automation systems.
* Maintains the Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance action list and spare parts inventory.
* Executes electrical adjustments and supervises optimization activities, monitoring their effectiveness.
* Drafts instrumentation setting procedures and shares them with the Plant Manager.
* Coordinates and oversees all instrumentation checks to ensure system integrity and performance.
* Assists analysis and troubleshooting through the DCS interface.
* Identifies and resolves process or equipment issues by analyzing DCS data and trends.
* Teaches the best E&l, Automation practices and procedures for all production teams.
Personal Attributes:
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering and technical subjects,
* It is a plus to have 3/6 years of experience in E&I/Automation/DCS,
* Good English speaker and writer,
* Strong attention to details,
* Adaptability, entrepreneurship and working with method,
* Ability to work under pressure in an environment where priorities must be continually re-evaluated and adapted as possible.
