Contracts Manager, Seller Experience Legal (SELL)
Job ID: 10383517 | Amazon.com Services LLC
Amazon's Seller Experience Legal team seeks an experienced Contracts Manager who thinks like a business partner, builds like a technologist, and executes like a seasoned legal professional. The role owns end-to-end contracting for teams supporting millions of third‐party sellers, develops AI‐powered tools that transform how legal work is done, and structures deals with global brands and industry leaders. It requires turning ambiguous inputs into polished outputs and building legal infrastructure that raises the bar for everyone.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end‐to‐end contracting for Seller Experience Legal—drafting, negotiating, and closing commercial agreements with minimal oversight while identifying risks and recommending business‐enabling solutions.
- Build and deploy AI‐powered tools and automated workflows that reduce manual work, accelerate output, and expand the team's capabilities.
- Develop and maintain contract templates, training materials, SOPs, and metrics that raise the bar for team performance and operational excellence.
- Design holistic project plans for proactive legal initiatives, owning scope, milestones, and delivery across cross‐functional stakeholders.
- Provide prompt, accurate legal guidance to business partners, escalating appropriately and ensuring stakeholders always have clarity on next steps.
A Day in the Life
Your day blends execution and strategic engagement. In the morning you might review a commercial agreement, flag risk gaps, and recommend changes, then move to a cross‐functional sync as the legal voice helping a product team move faster. In the afternoon you might iterate on an AI‐powered contract workflow, update a program tracker for leadership, or draft training materials that make future deals easier.
