Job Description We are working alongside a privately backed renewable energy platform to appoint a Senior Asset Manager responsible for the long-term performance and value optimisation of a utility-scale solar PV portfolio in Italy.

The client Our client is an established Independent Power Producer with a long-term ownership strategy across renewable energy assets. The business manages a growing photovoltaic portfolio and operates with a strong focus on operational excellence, financial discipline, and sustainable value creation.
The Role Reporting into senior leadership, the Senior Asset Manager holds full accountability for the technical, commercial, and financial performance of solar PV assets throughout their operational lifecycle. The role combines hands-on asset oversight with strategic optimisation, stakeholder management, and value enhancement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Take full ownership of asset performance, including availability, energy yield, PR, and revenue delivery. Define and execute optimisation strategies to enhance asset value over the long term. Evaluate and progress value-add initiatives such as repowering, revamping, life-extension, and storage integration. Manage operational and capital expenditure budgets in line with business plans. Oversee forecasting, performance analysis, and variance management. Lead management of O&M, insurance, and specialist technical service contracts. Monitor compliance with regulatory, contractual, and permitting obligations. Prepare structured reporting for internal stakeholders, lenders, and investors. Interface with banks, advisors, and technical counterparties. Support refinancing, acquisition, or divestment processes as required.
Requirements Degree in Engineering or Economics with strong technical and financial exposure. Demonstrated experience managing solar PV assets within an IPP or owner-operator environment. Strong understanding of power markets, PPAs, merchant exposure, and revenue structures. Solid capability in technical and financial performance analysis. High level of autonomy, sound judgement, and stakeholder management skills. Fluent English; Italian advantageous.
