Amazon LEO will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity. /p pThe Amazon LEO Antenna Test Infrastructure team provides the test systems and techniques to verify Payload, CT and full satellite vehicle hardware, integrates the test automation and connects the dots between Responsible Engineers and their product's test metrics. The team is a pivotal point for a multitude of other teams and orgs, our internal customers. And it's highly multidisciplinary: SysDE, SDE, ME, Metrology, Robotics, Antenna, FPGA and Lab Ops all converge in the same room. /p pYou will architect the HW/SW infrastructure for test automation for Satellite Payload Antennas and Customer Terminals. These products are complex systems that incorporate a Linux Embedded OS, with which you will interface. You will integrate that interface with our test equipment automation and our data collection pipelines, and grow our antenna chamber software repositories. You will conduct code reviews for your and others' merge requests. You will develop the test framework to create, track, update, change, and execute tests, to enable repeatable, discoverable tests, collects critical measurements, and simplify test verification. /p pNot only that! You will design new Radio Frequency (RF) and Over The Air (OTA) test systems for our antenna products, that can expand the test coverage, integrate more complex tests, tighten test accuracies. You'll capture those efforts in new test procedures, all this working hand in hand with the Responsible Engineers (RE) that own the antenna products and with our multidisciplinary team's help centered around Antenna testing. /p pYou will be the *liaison* that will link Software Teams and external resources (test equipment vendors) with the RE's to establish and perform Aerospace validation and verification processes, integrating automated testing into Design Verification procedures (DVT), Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP), Qualification Test Procedures (QTP), and Payload integration test. /p h3Key job responsibilities /h3 ul liDesign new antenna test systems using RF equipment (VSA, VSG, GNSS simulators, digitizers, switches), RF up/down-converters, FPGA-based Digitizers, and controllers of motorized and electrically switched axes. /li liInspect the control hardware currently installed, and use that information to architect and design an acquisition system with TTL and TCP/IP controls /li liDetermine automation requirements across the internal and external teams /li liDevelop test frameworks for loading software builds and configuration, managing test cases, storing test configurations, executing test runs, logging metrics, and pipe the data. /li liDevelop automation services to optimize measurements, data management and analysis for antenna and customer terminal verification /li liTrain internal and external teams on test automation /li /ul h3Export Control Requirement /h3 pDue to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted in the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. /p h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul liExperience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems /li liExperience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust /li liExperience with Linux/Unix /li liBachelor's degree /li liExperience with version control systems and CI/CD pipeline implementation /li liExperience in development of hardware automation and test systems /li liExperience with Hardware/Software system bring up and debugging /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liMaster’s degree or above in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field /li liExperience with RF measurement equipment, including: power meters, spectrum analyzers, vector signal generators, network analyzers, oscilloscopes /li liExperience owning end-to-end programs to drive results /li liExperience in Signal Processing and RF. /li liExcellent mathematical and problem-solving skills. /li liHighly accurate and detail-oriented. /li /ul pAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. /p pOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
