Responsibilities The SCQ manager shall assure the Quality of space equipment and products purchased from external suppliers, within the frame of specific Projects. Monitor quality throughout the life cycle of items in Electrical, RF, mechanical, propulsion and ground support equipment segments. Participate in the proposal and supplier selection phases, in collaboration with buyer and engineering, to verify and negotiate supplier conformity to: Customer Quality Requirements (flow down) and Product Assurance and Safety Requirements for sub-contractors and suppliers Specific Statement of Work and Statement of Applicability (including list of Ads) and PA DRL Technical specifications and the qualification status of proposed hardware Engage in the EQSR and Design Reviews phases by supporting subcontractor reviews from KO to delivery, verifying qualification status and alignment with project category and model philosophy. Manage the delta qualification and coordinate design reviews when required. Monitor and manage supplier performance during manufacturing, testing and delivery (OTD/OQD) and ensure on-time delivery and quality of hardware. This includes managing quality matters during manufacturing and qualification test campaigns, delta qualifications, and recurrent hardware campaigns; and participating in the Delivery Review Board (DRB). Coordinate with Quality Assurance disciplines across the project lifecycle: proposal, design, production, test and delivery, including management of RFD, RFW and NCR related to discipline aspects. General skills Knowledge of Quality Assurance disciplines and ability to coordinate contributions across project phases Experience in managing inspection points, major non-conformities and problem-solving techniques Experience in managing deviations, waivers and alert handling Ability to prepare PA progress reports Personal requirements Master degree or PhD in scientific subjects Fluent English (written and spoken) Excellent knowledge of Italian Teamwork attitude Requirements summary Equal employment opportunity: At Thales Alenia Space we provide CAREERS and not only jobs.
