European Central Transport Planner (12 months fixed term contract)
About the Role:
For ourSupply Chain hubbased inAlba (CN), we are currently looking for curious people, willing tostart their careerasEuropean Central Transport Planners.
In this role, you will join Ferrero’s European Central Transport team, where you will play a key part inplanning and managing export transportationacross Ferrero production sites in Europe. This includes overseeing road freight transport operations for finished goods, intermediates, semi-finished products, raw materials, and packaging from Ferrero plants, co-packers, and external warehouses towards our industrial and commercial network, or directly to customers.
Main Responsibilities:
Covering this position, you willdevelop weekly shipping plansby analyzing market and plant requirements, stock levels across the industrial network, and production schedules. Your goal will be toensure optimal service levelsthrough effective transport planning.
TheTransportation Management System(TMS) will be your tool to optimize transport routes. Based on the tender share logic defined by Central Procurement, you will assign shipments to the appropriate carriers.
Yourcollaboration with internal and external stakeholders (including customers, warehouses, and production sites) to resolve any transport-related issues that may arise will be key. That is why effective communication will be a fundamental ingredient of your daily activities.
Moreover, you willimplement and monitor transportation plans, ensuring timely vehicle arrivals, product availability, and efficient loading operations. It is your responsibility to proactively identify and address carrier-related issues, proposing improvements when necessary.
You will drivetransportation KPIswithin your area of responsibility. These include vehicle utilization, product storage time, loading punctuality, and transit time. You must ensure cost-effective transport operations through continuous monitoring and control.
In addition, you willidentify and propose enhancementsto transportation and logistics processes. Your participation in company-wide projects will be essential to improving cost control, service quality, and sustainability.Green logisticsandevolution of our IT systemsare amongst the key areas in which you will bring your proactive contribution and make the difference!
About You:
You will bring yourMaster’s Degree in Engineering, Economics or relatedfields, along with astrong willingness to learn and enthusiasmto contribute to this dynamic and fascinating function.
Yourinterest in the Supply Chain and Logistics fields, developed through your academic background or recent professional experiences (such as internship or fixed-term contract), will help you build a solidstarting pointin your career.
We will value youranalytical thinkingand decision-making abilities, and youwork independentlywith a strong sense of urgency and ownership.
You have aninternational mindset, with openness to working across cultures and collaborating in a global environment. Yourfluent Englishwill help your everyday activities of interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
