OverviewAs a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will play an essential role in empowering our customers to take their medications correctly and achieve better overall wellness. Our pharmacy features a casual dress code in a non‐retail facing environment. An active in‐state pharmacy technician license is required to be considered.Key Responsibilities
Assist pharmacist in filling prescription items, as permitted by the state board of pharmacyMaintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsWork daily with Leadership to ensure the right medications are put in the right packetsRun automated machinery required to pre‐sort and package medicationsFill exception trays with appropriate medicationTransition orders through different workflow stages from initial dispense through quality controlCount and fill prescription vials and affix labels on bulk prescription itemsPack and ship completed orders including printing and affixing appropriate labels on dispenser, shipping boxesSort and triage the right boxes to ship at the right timeAid the distribution manager and distribution pharmacists with receiving, shipping, counting, and packingClean, and help maintain, equipment and work areasPackage medications for dispensing and for deliveryWork a flexible schedule – shifts may start and end outside of normal business hours
Physical Requirements
Standing, bending, reaching above the head, kneeling, crouching and/or stretching for shifts up to 12 hours (standard full‐time shifts are 10 hours excluding overtime, flex and part‐time shifts may vary)Lifting and moving products up to 49 lbs in weightManual dexterity of hands and wrists
Basic Qualifications
Active and unrestricted in‐state Board of Pharmacy License (Pharmacy Technician, Trainee, and Assistant Licenses)National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA)High school diploma or equivalent6+ months of experience working with computer and web‐based toolsAbility to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisor; ability to read and understand English language labeling on product cartons and prescription labels
