We are currently seeking a Firmware Engineer to join our dynamic team in Castel Guelfo, Italy!
This position is responsible for designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting firmware code (IC embedded code), contributing to code reviews and team performance improvement. Read and understand hardware and embedded system diagrams. Define tests to validate firmware design and write proper documentation. Motivate team members and ensure the correct flow of information to prevent misunderstandings. Provide technical support to customers when required. Analyze specific applications by providing active support and service.
What kind of work will you be doing?
* Work with the Firmware team to design, analyze, and troubleshoot software for assigned functions, understanding the working principles of hardware.
* Provide firmware test specifications and support during the product lifecycle.
* Collaborate with the tech-support team to resolve field problems.
* Coordinate with other engineering functions during product specification development.
* Support the testing team in defining test plans and review test results.
* Create technical documentation such as drawings and component specifications in line with process requirements.
What will make you successful?
* Excellent planning and communication skills.
* Good knowledge of C/C++, version control systems, and DSP architecture, preferably TI-oriented.
* University degree or technical diploma in Software Engineering or equivalent.
* Experience in related areas (e.g., UPS, power converters, or low voltage electrical distribution) is a plus.
* Good knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and processes.
* Strong team work attitude and communication skills.
* Customer-oriented with willingness to travel.
* Proficiency in English.
