Software Development Engineer, Device Software Services The Amazon Devices team designs and engineers high-profile consumer electronics, including the best-selling Kindle family of products. We have also produced exceptional devices like Fire tablets, Fire TV, Amazon Dash, and Amazon Echo. What will you help us create? A Software Developer Engineer (SDE) at Amazon work on real world problems on a global scale, own their systems end to end and influence the direction of our technology that impacts hundreds of millions customers around the world. At Amazon an SDE can expect to lead team(s) of highly performing individuals in the design of flexible and scalable solutions, and day-to-day operations. They will work on some of the most complex challenges in large-scale computing by utilizing your skills in data structures, algorithms, and object oriented programming. We will be working on building and operating new services that will help improve the experience of our customers when doing over-the-air updates, telemetry, and troubleshooting their devices. You ensure your team is stronger because of your presence, but does not require your presence to be successful Basic Qualifications 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience Experience programming with at least one software programming language Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems Preferred Qualifications 3 years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience Bachelor\'s degree in computer science or equivalent Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
