Job Position As a Backend Engineer at Translated, you will develop applications and integrations for the Lara ecosystem — our advanced LLM-based translation system. You will work on documents, web applications, and SDKs for external system integration across platforms and languages. This is a unique opportunity to join a new team working on our fastest-growing, strategic project. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing our backend system, ensuring scalability, security, and seamless integration. You will help shape the product and contribute to its success. What You’ll Do Participate in the entire lifecycle of Lara applications. Focus on coding, debugging, and testing. Build high-quality, reusable code. Develop functional and sustainable applications with clean code. Troubleshoot and debug applications. Optimize applications for speed and scalability. Collaborate with designers, developers, and system administrators. Stay updated with best practices. Qualifications Required Experience with Node.js and its ecosystem. Deep knowledge of Typescript. Good understanding of Linux platforms. Experience with Amazon AWS. Experience with Relational DBMS (MySQL). Experience with NoSQL DBMS (Redis). Proficiency with GIT and Github workflow. Experience in one or more areas: SDK development: integrating and customizing libraries for various platforms. Vision: working with advanced browser APIs, multimedia features like camera and video. Browser extensions: developing and optimizing browser extensions. We value structured, modular, clean, and efficient code. A quick learner with good communication skills, proactive, responsible, and passionate about building high-quality applications. You should enjoy solving complex problems, take ownership of your work, and be eager to learn new technologies. Teamwork and effective communication are essential, along with curiosity and continuous improvement. Nice to have Experience with Docker. Experience with Message-Oriented Middleware (e.g., ActiveMQ, SQS, SNS, RabbitMQ). Linux environment configuration and troubleshooting experience. This position requires daily in-office presence.
