What We’re Doing As part of Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems business area, the C4ISR line of business creates leading-edge global mission integration capabilities and products for our partners across all domains. Who We Are Our team is building a Command and Control capability that provides a unified, timely, and responsive application enabling Force Readiness tracking and reporting across the Cyber Mission Forces and all of the Service Cyber Components. It is being built to be inter-operable across department, service, or cyberspace partners. It is presently an operational system. The Enterprise Service Center (ESC) effort is to provide Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud system administration and help desk support for all cloud hosting environments and associated applications. The Work As a functional expert supporting the ESC, you will provide subject matter proficiency for the work described in the task. You will be responsible for providing analytical skills to support process improvement, specialized studies, and the definition of requirements. You will handle technological duties associated with cloud computing, including design, planning, management, maintenance, and support. Typical duties include analysis, planning, developing requirements documents, building functional models, developing procedures, developing functional architectures, and other related management and technical duties. You must provide subject matter expertise in using AWS technology, AWS security best practices, AWS storage options and their underlying consistency models, and AWS networking nuances and how they relate to the integration of AWS services. Knowledge of advanced networking architectures and interconnectivity options (e.g., IP VPN, MPLS, VPLS) is required. Familiarity with automation scripts and tools, including design, implementation, and optimization of routing architectures (static and dynamic), multi-region solutions, and highly available connectivity solutions (e.g., AWS Direct Connect, VPN), is essential. Knowledge of CIDR, subnetting (IPv4 and IPv6), IPv6 transition challenges, and network security features such as AWS WAF, IDS, IPS, DDoS protection, and EDoS is also required. You will deploy and manage scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS, maintaining cloud-native services like ECS (Fargate), S3, RDS, Lambda, among others. Monitoring system performance, ensuring high availability, and performing backups and disaster recovery exercises are part of your responsibilities. Familiarity with version control and CI/CD tools is necessary. You will implement security measures, automate cloud operations using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible, and collaborate with development teams, other IT teams, and business stakeholders to optimize application performance and scalability.
