NEXTCHEM, a company of the MAIRE group dedicated to Sustainable Technology Solutions, is seeking a dynamic and innovative Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper functioning and reliability of plant equipment and machinery by performing maintenance, repairs, and improvements, while adhering to safety standards and supporting third-party supervision and planning activities.
The candidate will become part of NEXTCHEM’s Excellence Center in Montorio al Vomano (TE), having the opportunity to work on the first-of-its-kind industrial plant for the depolymerization of plastics, operating on a novel technology to fully enable the energy transition.
The Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for:
* Following the guidelines of the Responsible, performs maintenance, repair, and improvement activities on plant equipment and machineries.
* Ensures compliance with general and specific safety rules during all maintenance operations.
* Supports the supervision of third-party personnel performing specific maintenance tasks.
* Monitors the timing and cost of maintenance activities according to the provided activity plan.
* Assists in the preparation of maintenance and inspection plans for plant equipment.
* Performs autonomous maintenance activities to address simple routine issues when necessary.
* Maintains and updates the Mechanical Maintenance list, spare parts list, and mechanical midrange settings.
* Controls and optimizes all mechanical adjustments and settings to ensure efficient plant operation. Teaches the best mechanical practices and procedures for all production teams.
Personal Attributes:
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering and technical subjects,
* It is a plus to have 3/6 years of experience in Mechanical Maintenance,
* Good English speaker and writer,
* Strong attention to details,
* Adaptability, entrepreneurship and working with method,
* Ability to work under pressure in an environment where priorities must be continually re-evaluated and adapted as possible.
