Overview: Kemin Industries is seeking a Lead Buyer for our location in Cavriago. As Lead Buyer you and your team of 1 will be responsible for the purchase activities from A-Z for the location in Cavriago. You will act as a primary point of contact for the business. Responsibilities: The LEAD BUYER will take the operational lead in the purchasing activities for the Cavriago location. Your responsibilities will be: - Supervision of purchase order-flow & purchase administration - Supply management of direct spend (raw materials, packaging) and indirect spend (non-inventory products, facilities & lease-service contracts) - Supervision and Management of product-approval & evaluation dossiers for raw materials/packaging according to Kemin specifications and GMP-FAMI QS standards - Management of Complaints & non-conform deliveries - Management of non - conform purchase invoices - Preparation of supplier evaluations and administration - Management of supplier records and item per supplier records in M3 - Management of raw materials/packaging prices in M3 - Management of Purchasing parameters in M3 - Management of reorder-points in M3 for raw materials & packaging - Contract management & control of supplier/pricing administration in M3 - Conduct market research and commercial negotiations for raw materials, packaging, non-inventory items, facilities & service-lease contracts - Preparation/calculation and reporting of purchase key performance indicators - Coaching and performance review of local purchasing team members Qualifications: What we expect of you - Master’s degree or equivalent by one’s experience - 3-5-year relevant experience - Hands on and proactive personality - Strong negotiation skills: - Excellent communication skills on multiple levels - Good decision maker - Team player and a good people manager - Multi - lingual, fluent in English is a must.
