Software Dev Engineer II, Cross Border Tech – Are you interested in building next generation services that will re-define international trade at Amazon? Amazon Exports and Expansion is building new services responsible for enhancing the international shopping experience. Global Store (GS) and Core Exports (CE) enable cross-border shopping for Amazon customers worldwide. CE serves cross-border customers in 200+ destinations and supports 11 Exports-enabled stores with access to 177M+ products, localized shopping, reliable delivery, and competitive pricing. GS provides a localized experience with access to competitive pricing in local currency, cross-border fulfillment, local payment methods, and local customer service. AEE Selection Tech is seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to disrupt how products are made available to customers, sold, and distributed globally. The right candidate will build new tools, services, and distribution structures across Amazon’s growing footprint and deliver unprecedented selection and prices for Amazon’s 100MM+ customers. The role involves working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment across diverse e-commerce topics and demonstrates competence across multiple fields and skills.

A day in the life
As a Software Development Engineer on the team, you will own software design, documentation, development, engineering approach, delivery, and support of systems built natively in AWS. You will collaborate with leaders, work backward from customers, identify problems, propose innovative solutions, raise standards, and impact how products are bought, sold, and distributed globally. You will build tools, services, and distribution structures across Amazon’s footprint, delivering unprecedented selection while complying with Global Trade and Product Compliance requirements.
Basic Qualifications
* 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
* 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems
* Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
