Formula Regional Race Engineer

The role of a Formula Regional Race Engineer is to be the technical lead for one of the team's race cars throughout the full season.
\
You will be responsible for managing all engineering activities from test prep through to race execution, working closely with the driver to extract the maximum performance from the car.
\
This is an opportunity to work with a well-established squad in Formula Regional with potential career progression into FIA F3 and beyond.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Full car management during race weekends, test days, and simulator sessions
\
2. Collaborate with drivers on car setup, tyre management, and race strategy
\
3. Use data and video analysis to guide engineering decisions
\
4. Support rig and simulator test programmes
\
5. Liaise with mechanics, data/system engineers, and the wider tech team
\
6. Participate in pre- and post-session briefings and performance reviews
\
7. Contribute to ongoing engineering process improvements and documentation
\
\
8. About You:
\
\
9. Degree in Mechanical, Motorsport, or Automotive Engineering
\
10. Specific experience in GB3 or Formula Regional
\
11. Strong grasp of vehicle dynamics, setup methodology, and data analysis
\
12. Familiarity with Magneti Marelli, Bosch, or similar systems
\
13. Strategic and detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills
\
14. Calm under pressure and solution-focused on race weekends
\
15. Willing to travel extensively throughout the season
\
16. Italian nationality preferred (but not essential)
\
