The Branch Finance & Tax plays a key role in the financial governance of the Branch, with full responsibility for accounting processes, tax compliance, and statutory obligations.
The role combines hands‑on technical responsibility with end‑to‑end ownership, acting as the main financial counterpart for Finance HQ, the Tax Department, and local operational teams.
This position offers strong exposure to international accounting and VAT matters within a multinational environment, as well as the opportunity to contribute actively to the continuous improvement of financial controls, processes, and workflows.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Accounting Management
* Ensure end‑to‑end supervision of general and analytical accounting activities for the Branch.
* Control and record incoming and outgoing invoices, ensuring correct VAT numbers, branch details, and compliance with multi‑branch or multi‑VAT configurations.
* Perform bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and balance sheet account controls.
* Support and coordinate month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing activities in collaboration with HQ Administration.
* Manage and oversee documentation related to intra‑branch and intra‑EU goods flows (shipping documents, CMR, proof of transport).
Tax Compliance
* Act as first‑line owner of tax compliance for the Branch, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full audit readiness.
* Prepare and submit local VAT returns in compliance with applicable regulations.
* Prepare and manage Intrastat declarations in accordance with local legal requirements.
* Monitor tax deadlines and oversee the implementation of internal controls to ensure ongoing compliance.
* Support internal, external, and tax audits and inspections.
Operational Coordination
* Act as a key interface with IT and shared services for SAP configurations related to Branch accounting and tax processes.
* Coordinate with local operational teams to ensure an efficient and accurate information flow between operational and financial functions.
* Oversee the payment process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to internal procedures.
Reporting & Analysis
* Prepare and analyze periodic financial and tax reporting for Administration and Tax, providing insights to HQ stakeholders.
* Perform variance analysis and monitor Branch KPIs.
* Identify, propose, and support the implementation of process improvements and internal control enhancements.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent.
* 3–5 years of experience in accounting or tax roles, ideally within multinational environments or Big Four firms.
* Solid knowledge of SAP.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* Good command of written and spoken English.
