Overview
Lead Fulfillment Associates support Amazon operations by driving team performance, process improvement, and safe, accurate fulfillment center operations. The role combines training, process assistance, and dock or shipping operations to maintain productivity and quality.
Responsibilities
* Train, coach, and motivate associates to achieve daily KPIs and maintain a safe work environment.
* Lead process and safety initiatives, including standard work implementation and continuous improvement activities.
* Perform production duties as required: pick/pack orders, receive/stow product, and unload/load trucks.
* Communicate instructions, maintain work area cleanliness, and enforce safety and quality standards.
* Serve as a liaison between corporate and fulfillment center teams for ticket resolution and escalation of operational issues.
Role Types (examples)
* ISS Representative – Facilitate resolution of retail ticket items and manage corporate request tickets.
* Process Assistant – Allocate labor, lead meetings, assign duties, and communicate with suppliers.
* Dock Clerk – Manage inbound flow, coordinate carriers, and lead dock personnel.
* Receiving Clerk – Schedule inbound deliveries, manage carrier communication, and train backup clerks.
* Shipping Clerk – Coordinate shipment companies, track packages, and coordinate trailers.
* Non-Inventory Receive Clerk – Administer flow of non‑inventory goods, research missing shipments, and operate PIT equipment.
* Regulated Waste Coordinator – Lead waste program compliance and execute regulated waste procedures.
* Amazon Robotics Quarterback – Monitor floor health, dispatch safe work, and coordinate real‑time data.
* Floor Health Monitor – Perform tasks on Amazon Robotics floor, troubleshoot issues, and assist associates.
* Data Analyst – Provide data support for ACES initiatives, root‑cause investigation, and SoX compliance.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* 1+ year of experience using Microsoft Office applications.
* Ability to lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
* Work 40 hours/week with overtime as required.
* Work a flexible schedule/shift/area, including weekends, nights, holidays.
* Age 18 or older.
Preferred Qualifications
* Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
* 1+ year of leadership experience directly managing others.
* 1+ year working in manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, or large retail environment.
* Experience with performance metrics and lean process improvement.
* Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to coach, train, and assist team members.
