Michael Page Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the finance function and support the company's growth and strategic initiatives. Given the company's ownership structure, experience working with Private Equity funds or Investment Banks is strongly preferred, as the role involves structured financial discipline, governance, and regular interaction with investors. The position is based in Milan, with 1-2 day trips per week to the production site located in Piemonte (approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes from Milan). Importantly, during the first year, the role will require a very hands‑on approach, with direct involvement in operational finance, controlling and process optimization. Over time, the role is expected to evolve into a more strategic position with broader oversight and higher-level responsibilities. Key Responsibilities - Financial Leadership: Oversee all financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and practice standards. - Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead annual budgets, forecasts, and financial modelling to support strategic decisions. - Reporting: Prepare consolidated financial statements and investor‑ready reports for internal stakeholders, auditors, and PE partners. - Cash Flow & Risk Management: Monitor cash flow, manage risk exposure, and optimise capital allocation. - Team Management: Lead and develop the finance team; define roles, responsibilities and succession plans. - Process Improvement: Implement practices across processes, systems, and internal controls. - Strategic Projects: Support potential restructuring, international expansion, and business development initiatives. - Investor Relations: Serve as the main financial interface for Private Equity investors or financial institutions. - Operational Engagement: Maintain close collaboration with the production site in Piemonte, including 1-2 weekly visits to support controlling, cost analysis, certifications, and operational finance. Requirements - Experience: Minimum 8-10 years in finance leadership roles, ideally as CFO or Senior Finance Manager in international or highly structured environments. - Private Equity / Investment Banking Exposure: Proven experience collaborating with PE funds or Investment Banks, including reporting, KPIs, governance and value‑creation frameworks. - Operational Finance Skills: Strong experience in controlling, cost analysis, and operational finance, especially relevant during the first year. - Background: Deep understanding of accounting, reporting, compliance and multi‑entity structures. - Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management. - Languages: Fluent in Italian and English. - Location: Based in Milan, with availability to travel 1-2 times per week to the production site in Piemonte (approx. 1h30). - Education: Degree in Finance, Economics or related field. MBA or professional qualifications (CPA, ACCA) are a plus.
