We have an exciting opportunity to join the Italy Field Engineering Team as Field & Technical Training Lead. The candidate will co‑ordinate and support field and technical training across the South East Europe and Türkiye (SEET) Operating Unit (OU) in collaboration with the Operating Area (OA) Field Leads, aligning the OU and OA’s with EMEA/Global Field and Technical Training Strategy.
The Field & Technical Training Lead will primarily focus on the development, co‑ordination and deployment of field and technical training within the 3 Operating Areas (OAs) in Italy and the process of identifying and developing the skills and competencies of our field colleagues.
This position will report to the Italy Field Engineering Manager to enable collaboration with the Field Experts and Adjusters to leverage the Technical Instructions, expertise and collaborate with the OU/OA Field Teams.
Responsibilities
Lead the development of technical training materials to support the needs of the Italian OAs, whilst sharing the materials to support the OAs across SEET.
Work with EMEA/Global/OU Teams in the development and deployment of processes such as skill mapping and training needs to continuously improve our Field KPI’s and Productivity.
Support the onboarding training of new mechanics and apprentices.
Communicate the training catalogue for Technical Training across Italy OAs.
Collect training needs from the OAs and schedule technical courses in collaboration with the Trainers.
Ensure training records and hours are recorded in accordance with local procedures.
Maintain and update the technical training facilities in Cassina and Bologna in co‑ordination and with the support of the Field Engineering Italy.
Identify and leverage digital and new forms of training and education to support the needs across the operations.
Co‑ordinate translations for Global/EMEA technical trainings.
Develop and maintain a technical educational library to provide education documentation to support the continued development of skills and knowledge of our mechanics.
Co‑ordinate the implementation of Field and Technical Training across the OU in line with Global/EMEA Training Strategy.
Support the OAs with identifying and coordinating trainers to support technical training priorities: Master Trainers, Field Experts, Train the Trainers.
Lead the deployment and assessment of skills and competencies across the OU to establish training needs and deployment plans.
Network with OU Field Training Leads to identify existing training materials that can be leveraged within SEET.
Co‑ordinate with OA’s Field Leads to establish training needs and deployment plans.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should have a good level of language in Italian and English and be based in Italy (ideally in Cassina or Bologna area) to directly manage and co‑ordinate the field and technical training program in Italy, whilst supporting the Field Leads across the OU. He should also have a technical background in elevators and leverage trainers’ verbal and written communication skills to enable effective education and training to our field colleagues, across different methods (e.g. In Person Training, using Teams and other forms of Digital Training Media).
