<p><strong>Job Description: Financial Controller</strong></p><p><strong>Location:</strong> AC Hotels by Marriott Milan Sesto</p><p><strong>Reporting Line:</strong> Reports directly to the Director of Finance and collaborates with the General Manager.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Executive Summary</strong></p><p>The Financial Controller ensures the integrity of financial and management accounting, acting as a bridge between day-to-day accounting and strategic analysis. The role is responsible for reconciling operational and financial data, analyzing variances, and reconstructing historical data to support management in strategic decision-making and forecasting.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>1. Controlling, Reporting & Forecasting</strong></p><ul><li>Support the definition of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.</li><li>Analyze financial performance and variances against budget and historical data.</li><li>Collaborate with or deputize for the Director of Finance in preparing financial reports (P&L, forecasts, and periodic reports).</li><li>Monitor key business KPIs, costs, and revenues.</li></ul><p><strong>2. Accounting & Operational Oversight</strong></p><ul><li>Work closely with the Senior Accountant to supervise accounting and administrative activities.</li><li>Support the Senior Accountant in the correct allocation of costs across revenue centers (Rooms, F&B, Banqueting, Meeting Rooms); verify the accuracy of monthly inventory data.</li><li>Audit the Procure-to-Pay cycle and ensure compliance of collection procedures (Front Office and F&B) with Marriott standards (SOPs).</li></ul><p><strong>3. Business Intelligence & Data Analysis</strong></p><ul><li>Conduct profitability analyses on specific segments (e.g., Banqueting vs. Outlet Dining).</li></ul><p><strong>4. Compliance & Audit</strong></p><ul><li>Ensure compliance with tax regulations, company policies, and USALI (Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry) standards.</li><li>Support internal and external audit processes.</li><li>Implement procedures to reduce operational waste and revenue leakage.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Candidate Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>Education:</strong> Degree in Economics, Finance, or related fields.</p><p><strong>Experience:</strong> Minimum of 2 years in finance, accounting, or similar roles.
