STOCK MANAGER
Department: Retail
Reporting to: Store Manager
The Stock manager’s role is to maintain product and supply inventories to increase efficiency. He/she is responsible for training employees, scheduling employee shifts, receiving and sending shipments, updating records, and maintaining inventories.
Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Operations
1. Manage stock levels and made key decisions about stock control
2. Ensure that merchandise shipments have been received and displayed within the company's expectations
3. Maintain and organize stock room
4. Maintain an active presence on showroom floor and stock room to prevent stock shrinkage
5. Assist Store Manager in creating, promoting and overseeing a profitable store
6. Keep selling floor and merchandise neat, organized and stocked
7. Manage all inventory in the stockroom and on the selling floor
8. Assist in all areas of stock, shipping, receiving protocol/policies and all shipping/ receiving related paperwork
9. Replenish stock on the sales floor as needed
10. Pack up defective items or overstock and arranges for the return shipment
11. Observe proper safety procedures in the stockroom, particularly when lifting and moving heavy items
12. Report issues or problems to Store Manager
13. Assist managers and associates in preventing theft and maintaining proper inventory
14. Comply with all Point-of-Sale policies and procedures
15. Attend store meetings
16. Manage all relevant training and development seminars, programs and meetings as directed by store management
17. Facilitate loss prevention initiatives that reduces shrinkage
18. Maintain solid partnership with store management and visual manager
19. Review stock room space and create tools to maximize space in stock room and make merchandise easily accessible for stock and sales staff
Customer Service
20. Provide the highest level of customer service
21. Answer customer and sales associate questions about available items in stock
22. Retrieve items from stockroom at customer request
23. Place special orders for customers when necessary
24. Build and maintain repeat clientele; utilize client book
25. Resolve all client problems and complaints quickly and effectively, ensuring client satisfaction
Management
26. Lead a team of employees to consistently meet sales and service goals
27. Hire, train and develop new employees based on changes in the store's volume and sales cycles
28. Manage and motivate the team to increase sales and ensure efficiency
29. Work on staffing duties such as interviewing potential staff members, conduct appraisals and performance reviews, as well as provide or organize training and development
30. Update colleagues on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues
31. Create stock employee schedules and ensure stock staff were always on duty to provide assistance on sales floor as needed
Job Requirements:
32. Minimum 3 years of experience of retail and luxury in a management role
33. Able to work as a charismatic leader, to drive and motivate people and willingness to develop talent
34. Excellent personal organizational skills with attention of detail and accuracy
35. Is familiar with inventory software
36. Possesses physical strength necessary to unload, lift, and carry heavy boxes
37. Exhibits familiarity with proper safety procedures in the stockroom
38. Able to work under pressure and to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment
39. Able to work on different tasks easily – Multi-tasking
