Overview of the Position
LONGi Storage is a fast‑growing company specializing in advanced energy storage solutions. We are seeking a skilled and motivated field service engineer to join our after‑sales team, focusing on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of utility‑scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This role is ideal for a hands‑on technical professional who enjoys working onsite, solving complex problems and ensuring the highest levels of system reliability and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- After‑Sales Service & Support
- Provide on‑site commissioning and O&M; services for utility‑scale BESS installations.
- Perform functional and acceptance testing with customers.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues within battery packs, power conversion systems and related components.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
- Customer Engagement
- Act as the primary technical contact for customers after project handover.
- Provide training and guidance to customers’ operations teams.
- Ensure timely, professional communication and customer satisfaction during service interactions.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare detailed service reports including fault analysis, troubleshooting, repair description and technical recommendations.
- Provide feedback to the engineering and R&D; teams regarding recurring issues and potential product improvements.
- Support warranty management and escalation processes.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with project delivery, engineering and sales teams to ensure smooth handover from project completion to service phase.
- Coordinate with suppliers and partners for replacement parts and technical solutions.
Requirements
- Technical Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of experience in after‑sales service, field engineering or systems commissioning – preferably in energy storage, renewable energy sources or power electronics.
- Practical knowledge of electrical systems (low/medium voltage), BESS technology, power conversion systems (PCS) and energy management systems (EMS).
- Hands‑on experience in troubleshooting of battery systems and SCADA/EMS systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, technical manuals and engineering documentation.
- Education & Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, automation or a related technical field.
- Fluent English.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.
- High level of professionalism in customer interactions.
- Availability for frequent travels.
