Job description:
We are looking for 2 Junior R&D Engineers, that are newly graduated or with some experience in R&D activities in the field of materials science. You will be part of a R&D-team who are responsible for developing and refining products and processes, conducting research and validate products, ensuring they meet performance and safety standards. The daily work involves assisting in conducting experiments, analysing results, investigating key material properties and performance in order to improve our solar cells and panels.
Furthermore, this is a hybrid role, meaning that part of the tasks involves handling the quality part in production such as inspecting and testing materials and products to ensure quality specifications are met when it comes to for instance electrical measuring (using the flasher machine) and technical hands-on work on Midsummer’s own designed DUO-machine, including theoretical work with data analysis and statistics.
Responsibilities:
Assist in conducting experiments, analysing results, investigating key material properties and performance in order to improve our solar cells and panels.
Assist in conducting research, development activities and experimental tasks in the field of materials science.
Assist in analysing and identifying correction for materials-related issues
Inspecting and testing materials and products to ensure quality specifications are met
Technical hands-on work on Midsummer’s own designed DUO-machine
Requirements and skills:
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Material Science.
Newly graduate or around 1 - 2 years of experience in materials and chemicals characterization methodologies
Knowledge of material properties, a plus if on semiconductors
Knowledge of materials processing and fabrication
Knowledge of data analysis, process modelling and materials testing
Passionate about technology development and with a clear understanding of technology
Strong analytical skills
Confident about working both hands-on and theoretically
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
Minimum B2-level in English
