Overview What you'll be doing day to day In this Trainee role, you will participate in a training and development process alongside the P&C Manager for a defined period with the goal of acquiring the necessary skills to cover that role in the future. You will support the P&C Manager and act as a business partner for Managers and Leaders of the Unit to contribute to the unit management team and ensure People strategies are locally implemented into action in the most effective and efficient way. Responsibilities Act as a P&C business partner to the Market Manager on all People topics Lead and develop the unit P&C team to provide an excellent co-worker experience Ensure the people strategy, global principles/guidelines as localised by the Country P&C team and relevant business plans are operationally implemented and lived up to Influence the unit management team to continuously develop local leadership capabilities within their function Support the building of local business competence and performance by setting and working on relevant goals Ensure delivery of learning and training at unit level, supported by the P&C Generalist or Market Area Learning Delivery Specialist Ensure local employer communication is consistent, well perceived and builds on the IKEA brand Together with the market area manager, secure an up-to-date succession process and plan by influencing the managers to take the lead with special focus on developing talents and high-performing potentials Be a good example of IKEA leadership in ways that express the IKEA values within and outside IKEA Responsible for implementation of the co-worker relations plan that effectively manages all local interactions with co-workers and ensures that all areas in the unit work with the labour relations principles and uphold local policies, procedures and law Together with the Business Navigation Manager, responsible for the distribution of budget hours between the unit departments according to the needs of the business and the co-worker, enabling an effective and efficient people planning process What you’ll need to have You have strong experience in the P&C area or relevant experience in leading a group of people You are passionate about people, believe in individuals’ potential, and are able to create an engaging co-worker experience and lead business through people You reflect what IKEA stands for and the IKEA values You have the ability to implement long-term plans according to set budgets and goals, developing virtual and other collaborative relationships to facilitate current and future objectives You can work independently, take initiative and responsibility, but also be a team player with the ability to influence and inspire; you demonstrate the use of different leadership styles as appropriate to different situations You have knowledge of identifying, assessing, encouraging and ensuring co-workers’ performance against organisational and individual goals You use, govern and manage partnership models responsibly to build trustful partnership relationships You know how to anticipate, identify and develop potential successors for key positions in IKEA J-18808-Ljbffr
