At Shakers, we connect top freelance talent with innovative projects across Europe. For this role, we are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a long-term, remote-first project focused on building a next-generation AI-powered development platform.
What You’ll Do
- Design and develop scalable, secure, high-performance web applications.
- Build modern, responsive UIs using React and TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Develop backend services and APIs in Python or Node.Js.
- Work with relational (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and document databases (MongoDB).
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to integrate AI-driven features.
- Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and reliability.
- Contribute to system architecture and technical decisions.
- Apply CI/CD practices and Infrastructure as Code.
- Work in an agile, cross-functional team environment.
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in full stack development in product-driven companies.
- Strong proficiency in React, JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Proficiency in at least one backend language (Python or Node.Js preferred ).
- Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL and MongoDB.
- Solid understanding of modern software engineering practices (testing, CI/CD, version control).
- Fluent in English and Italian
- Curiosity about Generative AI tools and workflows.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with developer platforms, SDKs, or AI tooling.
- Familiarity with FastAPI or REST best practices.
- Contributions to open-source projects.
