Contract Type: ContractDay Rate: 684 USD Overview Energy Jobline is supporting a major international energy infrastructure programme and is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent – Living Quarters (LQ) to oversee construction and installation activities for offshore accommodation modules. The role focuses on supervising multidisciplinary construction works related to living quarters facilities, ensuring delivery in line with project specifications, safety standards, and offshore habitability requirements. The Role Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Construction Superintendent will manage the execution of Living Quarters module construction, installation, and integration activities across fabrication yards or offshore installation sites. The role requires close coordination with engineering, procurement, quality, and subcontractor teams to ensure construction activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedules. Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily construction activities for Living Quarters modules during fabrication or installation phases Supervise multidisciplinary teams including civil, architectural, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, telecom, and fire & gas systems Monitor installation of architectural finishes, accommodation facilities, insulation, cladding, and interior fit‑out works Coordinate installation of critical systems including life‑saving equipment, emergency lighting, PA/GA systems, firefighting systems, and escape routes Coordinate construction sequencing with engineering, procurement, quality, and subcontractor teams Liaise with equipment vendors and suppliers for integration of accommodation utilities and support systems Participate in project coordination meetings and monitor construction progress against schedule Ensure all construction activities comply with project specifications and offshore regulatory standards Support inspections, mechanical completion checks, and punch list clearance Enforce HSE standards including Permit to Work (PTW), confined space entry, scaffolding, and hot work procedures Support pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities for LQ systems including HVAC, fire detection, telecom, and utility systems Assist in preparation of documentation for final system handover and client acceptance
Skills & Experience
Strong experience supervising offshore accommodation or Living Quarters construction activities Solid understanding of architectural, structural, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems within offshore facilities Familiarity with offshore habitability and safety standards such as IMO, SOLAS, NORSOK, ABS, and DNV Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary construction teams in complex project environments Strong leadership, planning, and problem‑solving skills Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university Minimum 8 years’ relevant construction experience within energy, offshore, or major infrastructure projects Experience working within fabrication yards or offshore installation environments Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
