As part of this sector task force, you will work with global companies combining your technical expertise, proven consulting skills and industry knowledge to help solve their most complex problems. /ppbThe Position /b /ppEY assists network companies, governments and regulators with specialist studies, data analysis, and the development of innovative planning tools and services. /ppWe are looking for a full-time Power Systems Engineer to work at EY’s Digital Grid Team, to deliver power systems and energy related projects in domains of network modelling, DER integration, network flow / topology optimisation, planning and operation of both distribution and transmission networks. /ppThis role is suited to an experienced power systems engineer keen to work on developing automation tools and processes to support the planning, operations and optimisation of future distribution / transmission networks. /ppFor this Power Systems role duties and responsibilities will include : /pulliSupport electricity system / network operators with Planning and Operation of the electricity grid. /liliTechnical understanding of the power systems and electrical components. /liliCarry out power energy network modelling and analysis, including load flow, fault level analysis, dynamic studies and optimal placement of capacitors. /liliKnowledge and experience of operational and longer term electrical / grid forecasting methods and tools. /liliKnowledge of Power Systems planning operational grid security. Ensure the electrical network is safe and secure from voltage, thermal and stability perspectives. /liliKnowledge of electrical network system coordination and control between transmission and distribution. /liliCo-ordinate and actively engage with the client, understand their business needs, and deliver the project to a high standard. /liliManage the day-to-day activities of the project and co-ordinate with the on-site team from EY. /liliHave a proactive and systematic approach to your work tasks /li /ulpRequirements /ppbEssential requirements include : /b /pulliAs a person, you have excellent communication skills enabling you to convey complex issues in a simple yet precise manner, as well as presenting results in a professional way.
