PpLocation: This role can be based in one of the following facilities: Burnfoot, Ireland | Nove Mesto, Slovakia | Bologna, Italy | Zagreb, Croatia. /p h3Job Overview /h3 pVertiv is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer (Sheet metal enclosures / Power Switching / Electronics Manufacturing Services / Transformers / Heat Exchangers, Fans Coils / Power switching / Compressors / Cables Wiring / Metal Plumbing and Pipe). The role develops, evaluates, and improves the Vertiv product supplier base through quality system and product process audits. The Supplier Quality Engineer maintains working relationships with suppliers to ensure the highest quality of purchased components and materials, focusing on continuous improvement, quality‑cost reduction, warranty reduction, and overall supplier rating. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liMonitor and resolve supplier process control performance issues by developing robust quality control plans and implementing sustainable corrective actions. /li liDrive permanent resolution of supplier issues reported by Vertiv plants and by customers. /li liInitiate and lead supplier performance improvement by partnering with suppliers to identify, understand and abate issues for New Product Introduction, First Article Inspection (FAI) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and mass production. /li liLead and own PPAP requirements associated with a change. /li liLead problem definition and reactive troubleshooting through containment, root cause analysis and corrective action with Supplier Corrective Action Report (SCAR). /li liDevelop 8D and supplier reports on reported issues and communicate internally and externally on investigation outcomes. /li liWork with internal teams, including Engineering, Service, Manufacturing/Operations, Sales, Offering Management, and Plants Quality, to resolve quality issues impacting Vertiv plant and customers. /li liSimplify complex information and concisely prepare both verbal and written executive summaries for the Leadership Team. /li liPerform supplier on-site audits to monitor supplier Quality Management System (QMS) compliance and effectiveness. /li liIdentify areas for cost reduction across the assigned supplier base, including internal supplier processes and quality improvements. /li liVisit suppliers proactively to observe installations, document improvement needs, and initiate corrective action. /li liEvaluate potential new suppliers by conducting on-site audits and scoring their Quality Management System. /li liProvide monthly reporting and status updates to management on supplier performance and quality initiatives. /li liSupport the execution and maintenance of an ISO 9001 certified Quality Management System. /li liOther responsibilities may be assigned as needed, based on the evolution of the organization. /li /ul h3Minimum Job Qualifications /h3 ul li1–3 years of experience in a Supplier Quality Engineer role or related field. /li liExperience with problem-solving tools and techniques (e.g., 8‑D, 5 Whys, 7 Ways, DOE, eCAR, Fishbone, Pareto, Six Sigma, First Piece, PPAP). /li liAbility to manage multiple tasks based on priority, difficulty and severity. /li liBackground in applying statistical tools for process and product development and control (e.g., Gage RR, Process Capability, Control Plans, SPC, Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis). /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul li3–5 years of experience in a Supplier Quality Engineer role or related field. /li liKnowledge of metal fabrication/machining, electrical components, and wiring. /li /ul h3Education and Certifications /h3 ul liAssociate level or university diploma with minimum 1–3 years experience. /li /ul h3Time Travel Requirement /h3 ul li80 % travel primarily across EMEA. /li /ul h3Equal Opportunity Statement /h3 pWe promote equal opportunities for all with respect to hiring, terms of employment, mobility, training, compensation, and occupational health, without discrimination as to age, race, color, religion, creed, sex, pregnancy status, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, genetic information, citizenship status, national origin, protected veteran status, political affiliation, or disability. /p pThis position is not a candidate for sponsorship and is restricted to those legally authorized to work in the United States. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
