Rheinmetall has entrusted Experis with the search for a Defence System Engineering Responsible – Project Manager to join the REPR Unit.
Responsibilities:
* The ideal candidate will take part, as Product Owner, in the engineering development of Defense and Command & Control Systems, with the goal of maximizing the value delivered by the Development Team.
* Technical leadership of the project
* Definition of system/subsystem architecture and requirements management
* Definition of the Project Engineering Management Plan and leadership of the System Design Team
* Coordination of project execution and the development team through planning and/or management of the project backlog, based on assessment of the most suitable development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile)
* Monitoring and control of the various project phases, managing Quality, Time, Cost, and Risk
* Support to Program Management as the Technical Interface for Customers, Prime Contractors, and Suppliers
* Support to Research, Innovation & Technology activities, including the study of new solutions, and preparation of technical proposals and commercial offers
* Support to Marketing as a system technical expert
Required Qualifications:
* Master’s Degree in Engineering
* Solid experience in the technical management of projects, preferably in the field of air defense (integrated Command and Control Systems, Control Nodes/Fire Control Centers)
* Ability to coordinate an interdisciplinary development team
* Experience providing technical support within Program Management, and in coordinating with Customers, Prime Contractors, and Suppliers
* Knowledge of System Engineering and Project Management principles, Agile and Scrum project management methodologies, as well as the main dedicated software tools
* Experience as a systems engineer/designer of complex hardware/software systems
* Theoretical knowledge in the fields of Command and Control, Tactical Data Links (and optionally Electronic Warfare and radio/fiber-optic communication systems)
* Fluent in English
