Overview
As an IT Laboratory Support Specialist at Syensqo, you enable Research & Innovation by managing key scientific apps like ELN and OpenLab. You’ll work closely with end-users and the service owner to ensure systems are reliable, secure, and compliant while continuously improving tooling. Your work supports researchers in capturing and sharing data effectively, driving faster scientific outcomes. This role combines hands‑on IT with collaboration across teams to deliver value and impact for a sustainable future.
Responsibilities
- Act as service owner contact for R&I applications and ensure production stability
- Coordinate with Data, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity and other IT teams to deliver value to customers
- Manage relationships with software vendors to ensure support and continuity
- Provide professional services and ensure data quality within SLAs (ticketing, inventory updates)
- Maintain functional and technical knowledge of the service and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with peers and share knowledge to support the team and users
- Innovate and propose new solutions or improvements for R&I applications
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar IT role
- Good knowledge of ELN (Revvity) and lab applications like Agilent OpenLab is a plus
- Understanding of laboratory processes and scientific data management
- Strong knowledge of IT components: workstations, identity management (Active Directory, Intune)
- Knowledge of IT technologies, networks, hosting, cybersecurity, databases
- Experience with incident and request management using a ticketing tool (BMC Helix preferred)
- Monitoring software updates and managing changes
- Fluency in English
