Ph3Description /h3 pOur Fulfilment Centre operations are at the heart of Amazon customer experience. Each action we undertake is done on behalf of our customers, as meeting their expectations makes us feel good. /p pThe EU Health and Safety function is part of the Operational teams and supports our Fulfilment Centres who are responsible for managing the vast range of fast paced inventory from inbound to outbound and work very hard to ensure that our customers receive what they want, when they want it. /p h3Key job responsibilities /h3 ul liLead a team of Safety Managers, including performance driven issues /li liLead Italy Fulfillment Centers safety programs /li liBe a net contributor to EU CF Health Safety leadership and functional progression /li liOversee safety performance metrics reporting and communication /li liAssist general managers in communication, training, and execution of the Safety Environmental Programs throughout the regions FC’s /li liEnsure compliance to EU laws as it applies to Occupational Safety for all relevant FC’s /li liPerform regular gap analysis to best justify funds for site safety improvements and react to Associate feedback /li liEnsure compliance to Safety programs such as Lockout-Tagout, Fall Protection, Fire Prevention, Emergency /li liDevelop and implement training programs to meet the needs of Managers and Associates in regards to critical safety issues /li liAnalyze accident data and build prevention programs to impact accident trends /li liBuild management and employee commitment for a Safety program through engagement, leadership tools /li liReview Standard Operating Procedure changes and make Safety recommendations /li liConduct site visits, reviewing site safety standards, share feedback with site Ops leadership team and site safety team, support them and hold them accountable for improving standards. Also take this opportunity to have development and leadership conversations with the site teams. /li liInsist on high standards on risk assessment, Operational Safety rules adherence and site safety standards. /li liConduct Job Hazard Analysis and Job Safety Analysis /li liInteract with Workers Compensation third‑party administrators in carrying out claims management /li liDevelop a positive working relationship with local authorities i.e. Fire Department, etc. /li liProvide weekly metrics reporting to senior management teams /li liApplying Lean tools to Safety: error‑proof processes, analyze Safety trends and create proactive plans to address – develop analytical, dashboard performance approach to safety management key risks, use Pareto analysis and other tools to monitor and drive high‑effectiveness Safety programs /li liProject Work for topics relating to the network /li liSupport other related network projects /li liMaintain communication with law enforcement bodies and accident insurers /li liMaintain communication with Operational directors and General Managers /li liConsult with works councils, safety committees as required /li liEnsure metrics parity /li /ul h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul liEducation to a degree level and ASPP or RSPP certified /li liRelevant experience managing a team /li liRelevant experience complying with local Health and Safety legislation /li liAdvanced proficiency in verbal and written English and the local language /li liAbility to work in teams and engage , collaborate and influence cross functional teams. /li liExcellent communication skills to manage stakeholders across shop floor and executives. /li liDemonstrable record of driving significant change through an operation /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liExperience with Lean, 5S and Kaizen methodologies /li liQualifications or experience in the field of sustainability /li liRelevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership /li liChartered membership of a Human Resources industry body (e.g., IOSH) to support people management /li /ul pAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
