SAR End-to-End Systems EngineerLocation:
Turin, Italy (3 days in office per week minimum)NewSpace Technical are partnered with a leading European small-satellite manufacturer developing next-generation Earth Observation missions.We are looking for an experienced SAR End-to-End Systems Engineer to lead the design and performance of complete SAR remote sensing systems, from spaceborne payload definition through to ground segment, processing chains, and final data products. You will join their team on a Full-Time, Permanent basis.The Role:You'll own the end-to-end SAR system architecture, translating mission objectives into robust, high-performance technical solutions across space and ground segments.Key responsibilities include:Defining and maintaining end-to-end SAR system architecturesTranslating user needs into system-level requirements with full traceabilityLeading SAR payload concept definition and system trade-offsPerforming end-to-end performance analyses (resolution, swath, NESZ, coverage, latency, product quality)Ensuring alignment between payload design, processing, calibration, and data productsSupporting system and payload reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, QR)Working closely with payload, AIT, ground segment, and operations teamsSupporting commissioning, calibration, and validation strategiesWhat They're Looking For:Master's degree in Aerospace, Telecoms, Electronics, or similar5+ years' experience in SAR systems, EO missions, or remote sensingStrong background in spaceborne SAR principles and performance driversExperience with SAR data processing chains and product generationSystems engineering experience across payload, mission, and ground segmentsFamiliarity with ECSS / space engineering standardsFluent EnglishNice to Have:SAR for small satellites or constellationsOn-board processing or data compressionEO product definition or user-driven mission designWhy This Role?High-impact technical ownership working on a key Government projectOpportunity to create a business line around youEnd-to-end system responsibilityInnovative EO missions with real downstream applicationsFlexible working and strong engineering cultureCompetitive compensation and long-term growthSound interesting?
