Description
Hitachi Rail seeks an enthusiastic, self-motivated Signalling Configuration Engineer to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The role involves tasks ranging from administrative to strategic, based in Naples, Italy.
Accountabilities
* Ensure data collection from scheme plans and other sources using configuration tools.
* Contribute to subsystem configurations, including data collection, preparation, and validation.
* Manage control of input data, configuration documents, and executable files according to company processes.
* Execute assigned integration lab tests or parts of tests.
* Correct defects found during validation and site testing.
Required Skills / Knowledge
* Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
* Ability to prepare technical specifications and documents.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Office, and basic AutoCAD knowledge.
* Willingness to travel within Italy and abroad for railway and metro installations.
* Effective network collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Preferred) Basic knowledge of electrical and relay circuits.
* Preferred) Understanding of software programming logic and relational databases.
Education / Qualifications
Engineering Degree or equivalent technical background.
Languages
Good command of English (written and spoken).
