Key job responsibilities
* Research and implement state-of-the-art computer vision, sensor fusion, and machine learning methods to deliver high-quality, highly-optimized artifacts that meet product specifications.
* Establish scalable, efficient, and automated processes for large-scale data analysis, machine learning model development, model validation, and gap analysis.
* Provide technical leadership and research new machine learning approaches, including efficient algorithms for resource-constrained computing platforms, to drive continued scientific innovation.
* Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to design and implement computer vision and machine learning-based features for Ring and Blink products.
* Influence system design and product vision by making informed decisions on the selection of technology, data sources, algorithms, and sensors.
Basic Qualifications
* 5+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience.
* PhD or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experience.
* Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
* Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensorflow, numpy, scipy, etc.
* Experience with large scale distributed systems such as Hadoop, Spark, etc.
