Role Overview
The company is seeking an experienced Analog / RFIC Design Engineer to support the design and development of high-performance integrated circuits for advanced optical and communication systems.
You will be part of a fast-paced, international research environment working on state-of-the-art RF, mmWave, and optical IC technologies, contributing to innovation from concept through to validation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-performance Analog / RFICs for optical transceiver applications
- Perform circuit simulation, verification, optimisation, and performance analysis
- Collaborate with system engineers to define specifications and target performance
- Support and guide layout activities, ensuring high-quality physical implementation
- Contribute to feasibility studies and evaluate different design approaches
- Share knowledge, best practices, and contribute to innovation within the team
Requirements
- ~10+ years’ experience in Analog / RFIC design
- Strong hands-on experience designing complex, high-performance ICs
- Proficiency with Cadence design tools and full design flow (schematic → layout → test)
- Experience with CMOS / SiGe BiCMOS technologies
- Proven track record delivering IC designs into volume production
- Strong understanding of RF/analog design principles and performance optimisation
- Ability to work in international, cross-functional teams
- Fluent in English
Nice to Have
- PhD or MSc in a relevant engineering field
- Experience in optical or optoelectronic ICs (e.G. TIAs, drivers)
- Exposure to microwave / millimetre-wave design (E-band, W-band, D-band)
- Knowledge of advanced EM, signal integrity, or power integrity
- Experience with antenna systems, phased arrays, or front-end modules
- Familiarity with lab validation and high-frequency measurement techniques
